Global map of Facebook connections. Some observations: There are very few people in the middle of continents. Places like Japan and Spain are sticking with their own social networks (Mixi, Tuenti). Russia and China are not on Facebook. This map says a lot about immigration patterns. Canada really is the USA’s hat. And you can still see the line between East and West Germany even after all this time.
